Between taking week long walks across the mountains, setting up a new buisness, taking care of old buisness and trying to keep up with the Jones's.
I have been extremely busy as of late.
I did get a spike buck a week ago.
Did a lot of work to track that one down, story will be forthcoming this winter probably along with a ton of other stories that should keep you all entertained, (I hope).
I will give you some hints of what will come when I get to slow down for a little.
Got blown out of the water by the antalope I was hunting for three day's and he was only five yards away.
A three hundred class bull caught wind of me at seven yards, the little buck I shot was a doe, until the last minute and I followed him for pretty much a day before I finally got a shot at that one.
I have watched a host of animals play, get eaten, and live every day lives that I have found to be most extrodinary.
This has been one of my most exciting years to date with the things I have been able to experience so far, I just hope every one is patient enough for what I can share later on this year.
I even finally got my new puter (the one I bought last year in Nov. to start working proper) and retired the old one to the back room so my wife has some thing to while away the time playing games.
I almost forgot, I even snuck up and watched for a couple day's some Mountain Sheep. Have pics to prove. I didn't see any big ones, but watching the antics of the little ones was fun.
It is almost seven and time waits for no man.
I really wish I had time to jump on the board and post the hell out of it, but even that luxury right now will have to wait as life goes on and Mother Earth is still teaching me a ton of things.
I have an area that the elk migrate into that is kinda hard to access, there is stories that some big ones hibernate there for the winter and I think I may just try and get one when the snow flies, but will have to make sure I really know the area before I head in. I have gotten a couple smaller elk in this same area, but it is pretty big when one walks around and a lot of places a wiley elk could hide.
I sure hope you are all doing well with your game hunting this year to date and will try and get back soon to see how every one has been doing.
Until then...
Later...
Russ... :D

Good luck this season Russ. My dad and I will be hunting local this year. Well a spike is better than getting skunked completly. Glad to hear that you are having a good season so far. Can't wait to read the stories and see the pics.

Russ,
Good luck and all the best to you this season. Looking forward to the pics also.

Thanks all for the cudo's...
I am back for a few day's and all I get to do is catch up on the work and get things in order.
I will be back up on Friday so as to be settled into my area when all of the weekend warriers chase all the animals my way... :D
