I can't remember the last time I shot a limit of "wild" Idaho roosters.
Saturday past an Uncle from MN, his son from Seattle a pal and myself shot 10 great birds. The dog work was OK, Jaeger is not accustomed to these running buggers. Long tails and long spurs!

goodlookin cocks

Those are some goodlookin cocks, and some nice birds too. It's been a long time sense i've seen some pheasants. I'm ready to go hunting them.

That's a good picture.

That is a great looking batch of birds, you definitely don't see them like that anymore, congrats.

Looks like a good hunt Wally! While living in the Boise valley, a limit day for me was exceptional. Here in South Dakota, not getting a limit is the exception. My GSP took about 2 days to adjust to running birds. Now she can follow, circle, and pin those suckers down. Fun hunting birds, that's for sure.

Congrats on the birds!!

T-bone - if you ever need any help or company, I've been known to drive a LONG ways to hunt birds!!! I'm a bad shot, so getting a limit will require lots of work from your dog; I'm guessing she won't mind. ;)
