Bear at the Duluth Mall

After experiencing ground shrinkage on every bear I’ve taken I now make a guess then subtract 100lbs and 1ft off the squared hide.

That is a FAT spring bear though...
lol ground shrinkage yup for sure my 1st bear was 13yrds away I was bow hunting watched it for 15 or 20 minutes I need it to turn broadside he was facing me and I knew it was 350 easy, well he turned and I let him have it he ran off and I heard the death moan, waited for a friend to help and when we walked up to it I just looked and said the big one I shot must have run this guy over on his way out of dodge
he was 185lbs

I'll go with 200lb sow. Mostly basing that off the narrow wheel base, height compared to the doorway, and rump size.

That being said, I have seen a LOT of bears up close and still under and over estimated weights by more than 100lbs on occasion....

That bear looks way too fat. They better check the local zoos for escapees. Or maybe somebody’s back yard domestic bear got loose.
