Banana Ball

I've seen a lot of TV hype but not sure exactly what it was? They looked like baseball uniforms but all I saw was a bunch of people running all around a baseball diamond. Does anyone have a simple explanation for the "geriatric crowd"?

Banana Ball is a seven inning party. I’m not sure what happened in the game. It’s a good time to drink and sing.

Tailgaters upset the Bananas in first ever championship.

Not sure what I just watched but had friends with tickets there so was trying to find them. Some cool rules and I still don’t understand it all.
There are so many "sports" on tv these days that are simply unwatchable.
Banana ball, slippery stairs, the ocho, quad ball, pickleball, T-rex races, professional darts, Omega ball and so on. It's ridiculous!

Certainly not traditional ball, but it's entertaining and kept the kids engaged.

Took the spawns to watch them in Denver, beautiful field. The middle kid caught a ball so she was stoked. I did enjoy how the crowd was engaged by the players and umps. If you just throw traditional ball out the window, and go with the flow of the game, the $15 Busch lattes help you enjoy the atmosphere and not worry about understanding the scoring.

No denying some of those players are good at what they do.

Saw them play at Kyle Field (Texas A&M) with over 100,000 fans. Tickets were a lottery draw and were a LONG way away from the action. Had a really good time but would make sure we were closer if we chose to go again.

I asked my brother in law if he wanted to go to the either Minneapolis or Iowa city for a weekend with our wives. He’s a big cubs fan. It was a hard NO. End of discussion.

Turned out a good call, the game in Iowa city was hotter than Haiti’s and then a severe thunderstorm came through and caused a stampede.
