Baby Eagle Learning to Fly

Not every day an eagle falls thru the trees and decides to hang upside down right next to you. Even as a baby just taking his first flights he sure is a big boy (girl?). Turns out the nest is only about 200 yards from us.

I’m surprised they let those campsites be open right under an eagle nest. That poor park ranger probably got 47 calls about an injured eagle.

Absolutely cool!!!
We were out last year and had a dead turkey fall from the sky. An eagle was trying to fly away with it and dropped it in front of us...

We were the closest site. Its right on the lake out on a point. Camp host said that starting last week mom was starting to teach the three of them how to fly. Turns out Google says she will do that for weeks while tossing in hunting lessons. They will stay and learn with her thru the winter
