AZ Archery Mountain Lion

My wife’s archery deer hunt quickly changed into a mountain lion hunt when this mature Tom came by her blind at 19 yards. One arrow did the trick. Unbelievable luck for sure.

Congrats to her on the lion. Well done and that is more than luck! One in a million would probably not scratch the surface of the odds. One in many millions might still not. The number of female bow hunters compared to male bow hunters is a huge differential to start. Then, the small fraction of any to ever SEE a mountain lion, and at 19 yards. Then the tiniest fraction of those to have a tag at the time and successfully pull off the shot. Geez, taking it in a different and more personal direction, what kind of dating algorithm did you employ to match up with her in the 1st place? You seem to have chosen wisely, unless you were looking to be the top hunter in the household!

I didn't even click on this for a couple days because I wasn't that interested in someone "archery" hunting a treed mountain lion.

Congratulations to a once in many many lifetimes type deal to have her shoot a mountain lion with a bow WITHOUT using dogs. Hadn't thought of shooting one in a blind but that is super cool.

I've actually thought about picking up a lion tag when I'll be deer hunting the Kaibab Plateau in late October.
