This particular concern rarely, if ever, enters my mind. TBH, surprised by how many view public events as a concern. It does, however, help explain the high levels of anti-anxiety medication use in the US. Can't imagine trying to enjoy life packing this kind of weight around.

I've lived in Dallas and SLC as an adult. Travel to Denver for Avs and Broncos games. Went to Chicago over New Years and to catch the Winter Classic a few years ago. Only adjustment I recall making was where and what time of day I walked in certain areas of Chicago.

I don't get out and about much. My wife does the town stuff so I do worry about her being in the wrong place at the wrong time.

I’ve never been a fan of crowds. I’d blame it on anti-social / introversion more so than paranoia. I still go to hockey games, but have really lost interest in other large scale events like concerts. Regardless of where I am, being alert and situationally aware is second nature.

He just likes trying to make others feel as miserable as he is. Too much good around to be that miserable. I got plenty of worries. Getting murdered isn't one of them.
