DJT said at Davos military action wouldn't be used on Greenland (obviously, because that would be genuinely stupid to pick a fight with Europe when the US needs European support in Ukraine -- my theory is he's acting out his frustration from not successfully negotiating with Putin to end the Ukraine war (Putin is apparently his kryptonite), and/or he's listened to one too many top secret briefings on potential China and Russia threats to expand, including in the Arctic, so he wants to secure Greenland).

Perhaps already stated in this thread: If the SC strikes down US tariffs as is expected, then the aluminum baseball bat the US has been awkwardly swinging at everyone's kneecaps, gets melted into a participation trophy.

Plus, WSJ recently had an article noting it may be US consumers who are shouldering price hikes, anyway.

If the SC sides with Fed Governor Cook, and if by that time the Powell matter isn't yet wrapped up (he may still be on the Fed, just not chair), that's good for Powell, and perhaps Fed independence.

Indirectly related to Fed independence or the war on Powell (whoever appointed him was not thinking clearly, clearly), the special DOJ prosecutor DJT appointed to go after a few political enemies, stepped down. Courts had ruled she was improperly appointed. As long as the judiciary keeps its sanity, we might be ok. Good luck everyone!

Well - coal mining/burning isnt inherently illegal (just regulated) So there would be no way to do that?
