Awesome!

This Tule Elk bull was shot at 50 yards in a patch of Madrone trees, and was coming to kick our ass.

[2rocky]

We listened to this bull from 200 yards away as he fought with about 6 other bulls over 25 cows or so. He had been chasing off satellites for at least 2 days since we saw him on Monday night. it souded like two guys hitting baseball bats together in the trees.

Here is one in the act of "as he lay" The caliber ends in PRC but I don't remember which one. Shot distance was 150 yds +/-

Thank you Wyoming....

Bull wasn't exactly as he lay, I forgot to take a Pic before I started cutting.
Couldn't have gotten a pic of the bear where he died so moved him 5ft or so.

Mule deer doe was alive and well yesterday evening. Got 2 of 3 culprits, and 4 total on the morning drive.

I replaced the original (26"?) barrel with a Green Mountain carbine barrel (21") about 25 years ago. I guess that company no longer exists?

The gun has a great feel and balance, it came back out of the gun safe when New Mexico re-banned scopes a couple of years ago.

Green mountain barrels was bought by Thompson Center a year or two ago.

It’s not always graceful as they lay.

But but but… You should have let them live. Now they’re going to magically multiply not 16 coyotes. Even though we know coyotes only breed once a year, and theirs no scientifically reputable day showing they have larger litters when hunted. They’re smart as eff and adaptable and resilient, I’ll give them that.
