Arizona is burning; what does that mean for AZ Tag holders?

Didn't the Kaibab also have a good winter this year with a lot of moisture?

After a big wildfire went through my area a few years ago the only thing it did was after burning the forest down it left the elk pretty much in the open and consequently they were easy picking for muz and rifle hunters. The quality of bulls has gone down worse than I’ve ever seen it 6 years after the fire. Sure wish that fire hadn’t come through here not just because of what’s going on with the wildlife but so many of my friends were burnt to the ground.

Yes we had a terrific winter. Tons of feed. It's been dry since mid May though. Hopefully, we're going to get some rain by the weekend of the Fourth. Lots of great bucks were taken last year too. So we're watching the age class closely. It looks promising.
