Are suppressors over rated?

I would look into a otb supressor for longer barrel rifles not as much supressor extending past the barrel. Ab supressors makes some with there reflex adaptor and unknown supressors is making them as well

The unknowns that fit over a carbon barrel are heavy AF for a ti hunting can. The decent suppressing ABs with reflex aren't any shorter in front of the barrel than those Airlocks. Actually a Zero Gravity 6.5 is shorter in front of barrel than a raptor 6 stack and should be lighter and suppress better as well.

Based on specs and reported performance, those airlocks seem top notch for a hunting can on a 24" carbon barrel to me.

I love it and you can make it 3.5” for a pistol.

Full size is under 7oz. Not heavy.

If the 5” echo lite was ever available - that would be the ticket.
I decided to get another 6” elite iron echo lite instead of another oculus. Going on a rifle and it’s light and a great little suppressor

Surely some are duckers, cant suppress, communication is paramount when group hunting, what do you do?

I am on my third season with a suppressor on a 350 legend. It's definitely not over-rated!

I have now seen multiple times where the suppressor made the deer stop for a follow up shot or even stand still for a double! Doesn't seem like they can pinpoint where the noise is coming from or what it is.

Also, has certainly protected my hearing as well.
