Anyone notice changes with Colorado's reissue list this fall?

They need to go to a weekly random draw for the reissue tags. Reissue preview list comes out on Tuesday’s at 11am, app deadline is 5pm Tuesday with draw results Wednesday at 11am. All this clicking is stupid.
I actually like this idea... not bad at all.
Does this mean that if i click by hand too fast it’ll mess me up? Or is my hand not that fast to trigger the anti click software?
Yeah I'm very confused by this.

a part of me likes the idea of a weekly draw and the other part of me believes that odds will go down even more if that's where we go.

Draws will attract 50000 people. Less dedicated people will get tags and there will be waste of opportunity. The answer is in person sales only, but I still like the click-fest.

I think so. I was running into this issue yesterday just manually clicking. It might be different this year as a whole but it was definitely different yesterday with their new rules put in place. I was excited that they were doing something about the auto clicking but if the software was selecting my manual clicking as an issue, they've got more tweaking to do

There is only one way to screw over my auto clicker and the way I have programed it to work and that would be to randomly move the button you click to proceed to the next page after every single time you click it. I would actually love that as it would mean also that you can't just spam click your mouse.

yeah a weekly draw has the potential to turn even boring 0 point leftover tags into OIL reissue odds.

in person might require body armor.

i do wonder though if the efforts to keep bots at bay is really working at all.

I happened to be at a CPW office yesterday morning (turning in some tags, actually) and there were people camped out in chairs. One guy said the 10th person in line showed up at 6:30 am (office opens at 8am). I asked the CPW employee if there were some high value (lots of pref pts) tags returned and he said no, any tag that requires 5 or more pts goes to the next person in the draw (not to the re-issue list). CPW's policy, at least at that office is to give the first 10 people in line a number and they come back at 11am (when the sale starts). They have 5 registers, so 2 customers at each register and at 11am they start trying to get tags for those 10 people. They are fairly certain that they do not have any better luck than the people logging in at home.

So, 10+ people at that one office willing to wait in line for hours for no better chance than Joe Schmoe tells me there are a LOT of people desperate to get those tags.

But there are tags on the list nearly every week that take more than 5 points to draw (including this week), because those tags are only offered to the next 5 in the draw line. If they are declined, then they go on the list.

It does seem that it is way easier in person so I'm guessing that the process of a tag getting into the system is just faster at their internal systems than the public online system

I’ve been told by the local CPW office counter worker that being in person and having them use their terminal is no faster than the online system. My experience going in person one day last year to get a smoking antelope tag was exactly that. I didn’t get it despite being in person.

Thanks for clarifying.

IMO, the "real answer" is to stop allowing tag returns at all except under the bereavement and medical exemptions that already exist.

Edit: and also under the current 'surrender' option (which puts some tags into the Secondary draw).

2028 should cure a lot of this bitching and crying….the CPW almost got it right.
Agreed. With the new auto reissue process and not seeing any tags for hunts except for those within 2 weeks of the start date, I suspect the weekly 60 second reissue thrill we get every Wednesday will be gone.
