Anyone else using StaBall 6.5 in their .300 WSM?

About a year ago, I had the good fortune of getting a great deal on a .300 WSM. Before I bought it, I checked the reloading manuals to see what powders were commonly used in that cartridge. To my delight, many were powders I already had on hand, including a 8# jug of StaBall 6.5. I ran a ladder test of StaBall and 168 TTSX's and settled on 66 grains for what has become one of my most consistently accurate combinations ever, in any rifle. Velocity is in the 3050 fps. range. I am tickled to death with this combination. I wasn't sure how many of you .300 WSM shooters have tried StaBall 6.5 in your loads, but I can tell you it is definitely worth trying.

My rifle seems to like bullets on the thicker side. I have been waiting for the federal terminal ascent to come around in stock but none before hunting season. I might need a slower powder .

Good to know. I have had such good luck with h4350 that I stopped there and loaded up a good supply. I am itching for a new 300wsm though and use stabil 6.5 for my heavy 22-250 loads so maybe I’ll give it a rip when I get the new rifle.
