Following up to above post... unfortunately but have rental and still about to hunt just with limited abilities and facilities. Tranny went, still waiting on solution but not promising. In middle of nowhere tows ain't cheap!

Still in it but it's 2 hours from unit and 3 hours from truck! Got lucky and meet some of the nicest people who have saved my arse! Trying to stay positive it could of been way worst, but holy crap is this getting expensive. First day seen handful of smaller bucks (expected more) I have to milk this tag till I get a report from mechanic with a timeline so trying just to have some fun and stay positive.

Yeah it's been a rough month waiting for it to get here. Archery opens the 5 and I'm taking my camp in next Tuesday.

22 hr drive to Miami later this week for family vacation. Getting ready for urban canal fishing, w/ a collapsable bike to get around. When we return in Sept squirrel season is underway.

Barnacles hanging on canal walls or bridge piling you can reach make great bait for sheepshead.
