The ice is over 3' thick on my carp lake here in Wyoming, but this thread has me dreaming of Spring!
Any of you guys do any bowfishing??

Yea you might say you do a "little". I am looking to rig up a boat, but I need to find one that is wide and stable.

I did a bunch about ten years ago. What we did was find areas when they were spawning in the spring because they are easy to find. They were usually in backwater areas that were relatively shallow not much current. Some good areas we found were some flood control gates in a dike. When the gate was open there were carp loaded on both sides feeding with lots of gar and good catfish fishing as well.
Ask around at landings or bait shop you might be surprised with the help you get. Check around with with the DNR or fish and game they have people on the water all the time.

I do it out of my jon boat but with just a spotlight hooked up to a battery. I sure is some good times.
