Looks like Round 1 could wrap up tomorrow night.

I think Blues take the Jets to game 7. They have been dominant at home. Stars/Avs should have been the western finals, I think winner plays Vegas for the western final. And im gonna go with Panthers/Hurricanes in the East final. Id like to see Ovi keep up incredible storybook season, but i just think the Canes have the edge in that series, and I have no belief that the Leafs can win 4 vs the Panthers with how they just destroyed the lightning.

Id really like to see Brent Burns hoist a cup before he's done. Always been one of my favorite all time defenders. Its unfortunate the sharks choked during their best years with pavelski/thornton/marleau/burns. That team should have held a cup up. But, Washington did look good, i just dont know if they can handle the rate at which the Canes can score goals. Should be fun series though, if I was them, id watch out for the guy wearing 8 at the top of the circle...

I’m a big fan of his as well, but his production really fell off this year. Plus he tends to make some boneheaded plays defensively. I’d love to see him win a cup with us this year, but I think his days as a top line d-man are numbered.

Yea..he isnt what he used to be at all. His time with the Sharks he was one of the most dangerous offensive defensemen in the league every year. . Blues with an absolute route of the Jets...uh ohh...the Presidents trophy curse is 1 game 7 away!!

Fortunately we just signed a Russian prospect with very similar skills as Burns. Once he clears immigration hurdles and gets here, I think we will likely look to move Burns.
