DU looked exhausted, but that is one well-coached team that never abandons their structure and just needed a break. NTM their goalie was stellar. Could have easily been 4-0 going into the 3rd.
Big step for the badgers this year, lots of positives.
Then I raced up to Ball Arena for the last 47 minutes of that one. Nothing on the line for the Avs minus personal milestones, but still a decent game. Somehow coach Bednar ended up in the hospital, though (took a puck to the cheek that I didn’t eve notice, apparently OK, but getting more tests)
And we couldn’t pull the 5 gobblers this opening morning 150 yards off private, so on paper a rough day, but had a blast all the same.
