Any boxing fight fans here or others who have boxed themselves such as I have?

Sugar Ray Leonard
Manny Paqiou
Evander Holyfield
Ali, of course.
I did not ever box. Sadly my fisticuffs were in bar parking lots. But, I like those four fighters. mtmtuley

Jackie Robinson stuck me in a ring after too many fights on the ball field. Dabbled some into the service and the new definition of fight & winning came in.
I did like Ali. Haven't seen a fight in many years.

All good pics mtmuley! Manny Pacquiao was one of my favorites also. I felt like he beat Floyd Mayweather Jr. when they fought but didn't get the decision.

I started in 1971 and fought there until 1979. My parents took over the club in 1973 I believe it was. I moved to Stevensville and boxed there for a couple years and then moved to Missoula and started fighting at John Felde's club, the Missoula Maverick's. Last year I fought was in 1987 after I came back after a few years off so I could go fight in the World Police & Fire Games in San Diego California.

A friend of mine ran the club in Hamilton for awhile. I think in the 80's. mtmuley

Had exactly one bout in my life. I didn't grow a scrapper or fighter, just a small guy back then. Arrived for my first tour in Korea in '91 and found out my until was heavily involved in boxing smokers. I was voluntold. Two weeks later a KATUSA ended any illusion that I had of boxing in less than 3 minutes. Didn't get knocked down but he was so fast I couldn't get my head pointed straight to even throw a punch🤣
Never participated after that.
A man's got to know his limitations.

I like that voluntold. It's a good sport but a rough one for sure.

I was never a boxer myself but my dad was a boxer when he and my mom first met in the 1940's. 🥊
My mom told me grandma, his mother would listen to his boxing matches on the radio and if he won she would wait up for him and if he lost she would just go to bed before he got home.
I used to be able to watch a lot more boxing before Showtime stopped airing boxing. At least now it seems Netflix is getting into showing boxing. (y)
