We just bought our first camper and am trying to get the pickup rigged for pulling it and the boat. Rather then have one of those big ol' nasty 5th-wheel plates in the box I have decided to go with a B&W turnover ball and am trying to decided between a 5th-wheel to gooseneck adapter or the fancy B&W Companion which looks like a better set up but is a bit pricey.

Anybody have any input on the way I am leaning or perhaps a used Companion they are looking to sell? ;)

Bwana, I have had two 5th wheel hitches and both were a pain. I now have two B&W Turnovers, which I bought for around $325 and put in myself. OK, It was me and my hunting buddy, but I saved the cost of our cabin that year. The Gooseneck is gone when you flip it and the Fiver is always flopping around back there. John
