Another Good Trip to Whitetail Camp

Returned Saturday from a few more days at our Illinois hunting camp. All I had left was a doe tag and wasn't able to connect but one partner arrowed this dandy 14 point buck about 1/4 mile up the drainage from where I had killed my buck a week or so earlier and the other partner killed a nice doe. Good times were had by all.

The orange army hits the woods with the opening of firearms season this weekend. Glad we were able to get a couple nice bucks before the crowds show up.
My 11 point grossed 141" and his 14 point grossed 163", a couple real solid whiteys.

Love those split brow tines......hope I get back to a whitetail hunt sometime in the near future.

Nice going both of you. Those big bodied deer taste amazing I'm told. Any idea what that buck weighed ?
