Started out good by shooting one on the farmland as I was baiting coyotes. Then went up to the forest and walked old logging roads for a couple hours. Not very effective with a flushing dog as everyone knows how fast grouse are and get behind trees ASAP but got two that way. Then for the last hour we drove around a few different logging roads to get a few in the ditches. Sure is lots around this year after such low numbers last year. Last year I shot four all year. The dry spring really produced a great hatch
