Well the annual coues adventure was a tough go this year. Unseasonably warm temperatures, full moon, plenty of moisture, had changed the usual deer behavior. It was tough sledding. Spent the last five days of December chasing coues with a gun and ended up eating my tag. Stayed for the archery hunt and managed to scrounge up a javelina and a deer after 16 days, but what a grind... Anyways a couple photo's...1610EBFD-9E98-4CED-8A32-2CF6667C9443.JPGIMG_0012.jpg

Very well done. I know how tough it is to get coues deer killed with a rifle, let alone the hours it takes to get one with a bow.

Always impressed with your dedication and success.

My son and I ate our late December coues tags. Bucks were saw were very small. I’ve hunted Coues before but felt underglassed with my 15s. Very tough to pick out of brush.
