Richard Cross 54 died on Saturday sheep hunting in K country west of Calgary. He was hunting solo and was scheduled to return home Saturday evening. Rick was a very skilled outdoorsman and spent 1000s of days over the past 35 yrs in Grizz country.
His body was found on Monday , mauled by a Grizz. A mother bear and cub were found in the area and felt to be responsible for his death. Solo hunters beware and be safe out their. Pray for his family during this trying time.

So sad. You have to be especially careful this time of year as the bears are beginning to pack on the food for winter.

Curious if he had spray? proof positive...if they want ya there gonna get ya!....wrong place wrong time...I feel for the family as he was obviously experienced.

Very sad! Prayers for his family. GOD bless him in the Happy Hunting Grounds.
