Alaskan Date Night

I was going to save these pics for another post - but they might be the perfect finale to what really happened on your "Alaska date night".

I'm not sure who is the buck and who is the doe. I assume WDH is the buck and Indian is the doe but someone may need to correct me. The other 3 small bucks that are watching have been named Bambi and Oak since they would rather hunt deer than elk.
The tiny buck at the top of the pic has been appropriately named Dink. Not sure if the extra doe is Sneak or not, but after all the 3 person sleeping bag jokes, I assume that's her name.




After the initial pics, several other ladies came and went, but most the group stayed together.




I wish they would have kept their "tent pop" inside so the rest of us didn't have to witness it. At least they haven't posted the YouTube clip yet.

There was a pretty big turn out. I would say that a 1/4-1/3 were sheep hunters, the rest looked like they were out of breath by the time they walked from the parking lot to the auditorium. I'm still out of breath...

Interestingly enough, I think there was only one Sitka sighting, and no Kuiu to be found. I think the real hard-core guys must have stayed home, or maybe... didn't fly up from the L-48?
