My wife drew a good pronghorn tag here at home. I told her she had the pick of my rifles or I could hurry and get her Ruger M77 tanger in 6mm ready for her. Her dad got that rifle for her so she could hunt with him for a few years. First season using it since he passed. She made the right decision and now I have a modern scope to mount and a load to work up. She’s got a cooler rifle than I do at this point.

Man, just spotted one at the COS Scheels and was sorely tempted. It'd have gone home with me if it had been a .257 Bob.

I have 4 pre 64’s that I hunt with, so I’m old school on that sense. I like modern glass. I’ve put rails on 3 out of the 4. That little 243 I like the ability to slap a bipod on for a quick range session. I like hunting and shooting old rifles; I don’t get caught up in what they’re supposed to look like to be period correct

Great bullet. I haven't used them in awhile but the results speak for themselves. I've posted this before, but we shot 95 grain VLD's in .243 for antelope for awhile. Worked well. Then moved to 80 grain monos. mtmuley
