My where is hiking on Polychrome Pass in Denali National Park with an old friend. It was cold. Rainy. I had my earphones in as I walked. I stopped to gather myself and drink some water. My buddy walked past me in perfect rhythm with the song. I cannot hear the beat without seeing him smiling as he coasted by.

You just instantly thrust me back to Quantico, Battalion Warrior Training, the 20 mile hump back to mainside. I was deployed for Desert Storm a week later.
