I have never hurt myself, but I sure as hell been close too many times. I debate with myself the scariest tool in my shop. Some days it is the lathe, some days the jointer, miter saw and table saw get their days as well. Control press usually feels pretty safe and consequently, it is the one thing that has actually cut me.

I can certainly see why. It got my father in law. He was a damn careful person, but there was a moment.

I should say I have been hit pretty hard by kickback from my table saw. So I am not injury free from it either, but I have not been cut. So far today, I am holding my average.
