Escaped the heat at home and made it over to Westport,Wa. Monday the ocean was as flat as it can be. Great fishing both days, limits of salmon and black rockfish for the whole boat. Tuesday the captain got word that there was better fishing further north and we got into more kings. Broke my king drought with a nice one around 15 lbs. Great trip. Back home now with 100 deg and fire advisories again.

Nice haul! I was headed that way a couple weeks ago but ended up hitting the 3 day King window near Port Townsend. Which charter did you go with?

Hula Girl. Three generations were on the boat, dad the captain, son captain/deckhand and grandson helper. All 3 work the deck. Always a good time on that boat, never any hollering.
