6.5 PRC handloads

just getting started with a new rifle and with the scarcity of components maybe there are more tips than I’ve been able to find.

What are your best recipe combinations of 6.5prc ingredients?

I’m starting with 139 scenar RL26 adg (gunwerks) brass and 210m primers
Got this one from a friend in MT
139 Scenar
56.2 R26
Hornady brass
Tula LRM or Fed 215M primer
start at a BTO of 2.250” and adjust from there.
3,000 fps in 20” barrel

you might need to start lower with ADG brass.

any one else care to share 6.5 prc load data with H1000 and the 156 bergers

DOH a quick google says this is the norm, north of 80 it seems to go haywire. Wish I knew this before I bought 8lbs.
I've even experienced some pressure spikes in the upper 70s. I don't do much rifle hunting in the upper 70s or above so rl26 has been money for me.

Have you guys played around with H4831+Barnes 127 LRX at all? I have both of these handy and would love to try the Barnes bullets in my PRC

Read on Rokslide so take this with a major grain of salt 53-57.5gr. The guys that posted this suggested 57 is tipping into very hot.
Thanks!! Thats what I'm reading from forums.

I loaded the 156Berger EOL with 55.5 of H1000 & CCI mag primer @ 65off and I didn't chronograph but grouping was excellent right at .5moa to .65moa

I started with with Hornady and adg brass. 140 berger elite hunters, 139 lapua, 136 lapua bullets. Rl25 and H1000 powder. With what I started with I settled on the Hornady brass, 140 berger, and 58.3 gn of h1000. 26" barrel I get 3085 fps. The ADG pressures out before that. Rl25 I can push it to 3218 but I practice in the summer and hunt when it can be - Temps. I'm also using federal gold metal match large magnum rifle primers. I have more bullets and powder to test out. 127 lrx, 140 partition, 130 cx.

Edit to add I've moved to lapua brass and have also tried nosler brass. Out of all the brass I would say lapua is the best and nosler is the worst. If you can neck turn brass Hornady is second in my opinion for case compacity. ADG is definitely thicker but pressures before you can get the velocity that you are looking for out of the prc.

I tried the LRX in my Savage Ultralight with mediocre results from a quick ladder. Went to the 124 Hammer Hunter and got 1/2 MOA groups right off the bat, so that's where I'm staying.

124 HH
Lapua brass
F215M
55.6 grains H4831SC
COAL- 2.96"
1/4 turn Lee FCD

Right at 3K FPS
