Okay I have seen a few posts like this but I just need some input on these specific models.

I am ready to pull the trigger on buying a 45-70 lever gun. For 10 years I wanted the Henry All Weather in 45-70. I like the look of it and I liked it being cerakoted I actually went to buy one last month and then I stopped myself. I started buying suppressors a couple years ago and pretty much don't shoot without them. The All-Weather is not threaded..... I need a threaded gun for how I hunt now. I started using suppressors and I won't stop now.

With that said that narrows my options down. I could get the S&W 45-70 but I dont want that short of a barrel and to be honest I really want some classic features. I like the look of wood or laminate on lever actions. Since I dont want the smith I was thinking either the Marlin 1895 stainless with gray laminate or going with the Henry Model X and putting the Woox furniture on it. I live in Montana so I am not terribly concerned about the Henry X just being blued but I have had some issues with a couple of my rifles losing their blueing. So the cerakote on the All-weather had my attention along with the stainless of the Marlin.

My non-negotiables are 45-70, bigger "glove style" loop, minimum of 18" barrel and threaded barrel.

Let me know what you think.
