Clicked on this thread because it seemed interesting. Never been to Alaska so can someone explain what the complication is for flying with a company like 40 mile and why you have to be a previous client to be on the list? It’s not a hunt I’m dying to do just curious.

Demand exceed available slots to fly. 40 Mile Air offers prior clients priority in booking spot for the following year.

Well damn.....haven't been on this site for about a week, and it looks like I missed out. I've done 2 successful caribou hunts in AK, one of them being with 40 Mile in 2010. Very good people to work with, and I hope to go with them again in the near future.
