Looking at buying a new rifle set up. If you could put together the best set up for $3000 what would it be. I’m looking for rifle, scope and suppressor and want to be complete under three grand. Thank you!

What's the intended quarry and what are the parameters? Ultralight deer gun is going to be a different answer than NRL comp gun.

I'm probably real close to the $3k budget for my lightweight deer gun - Howa Superlite 6.5CM, Leupold VX-5 2-10x42, and DD Enticer S-Ti (soon[ish] to be replaced with an Airlock), with sling comes in just a hair under 6lb. But if you aren't looking for something that light, I think you get better fit, finish, and refinement out of a Tikka.

For a few more ounces, I would definitely consider a Zeiss V4 or Trijicon, or if you don't need a dialing turret, the Maven RS2 or SWFA ultralight would save some ounces.

suppression the part of the equation that can come later or not at all

....actually, might be a good starting point if the headstamp suits

It's crazy that suppression can run a third of your budget...
Definitely easier to have it eat up a lower percentage now without the $200 stamp. When I got mine, my thinking was if I'm going to pay ~25% of the price of a can for a tax stamp, I'm not going to pinch pennies and make sacrifices on weight or performance of the can. On my other rifles, I wouldn't mind the extra weight of the Omega 300 to save $165, but on the ultralight gun, being even a little bit more front-heavy is pretty noticeable. While my hopes about the Airlock are sky-high, I still think the Enticer is a fantastic balance of weight, length, and performance for $765.

T3x lite in 6.5prc. $900
Trijicon credo 2.5-15 42 $1000
Air lock Zero Gravity 6.5. $900 (unobtanium) suppressor.
Close 2nd for a suppressor would be the unknown munitions O.G 6.5
I would love this setup with a stockys vg stock.

Just looking for an all around hunting gun. Deer elk and bear. I hunt all the mountain states.
6.5PRC with the 156 berger in a tikka t3 lite= bang flop

  1. T3X RoughTech SuperLite in 300WM for $900 at EuroOptic;
  2. Trijicon Credo HX 2.5-15x42 for $920 at EuroOptic;
  3. SilencerCo Omega 300 for $594 at (Silencer Central);
  4. Pure Precision Carbon Stock at $525 (cheating a little bit, but this is a frequent sale price);
  5. Sportsmatch Tikka Scope Rings for $80 at Airguns of Arizona
Total: $3,019

The RoughTech stock is pretty good though, so the Pure Precision would just be to suit my personal taste.

The good lord came down off the Mountain and gave the United States of America the 30-06. What fools are we to try and outsmart God?

This is the rifle and the cartridge.
