.280 Remington Powders

In my 280 Remington I used 140 gr. Partitions. Shot a lot of elk, deer, and antelope with that rifle and load.

IMR4350 was the powder I used but H4350 or H4831SC would both work just as well.

280AI - I currently have this cartridge in a custom Model 70 I had built. I'm using 140 gr. Accubonds or Partitions with IMR7828SSC and it seems to work very well for me. I used the 140 gr. Accubond on my grizzly bear last fall.
What your load with the 7828SSC? I'm just now working on my 280AI and I have that powder. Also might try H4831SC, RL 17, & IMR4350 . I've got the 140 and 150 in Accubond and Partition, and 160 Partition.
I may go to 150's. Not sure yet.

Aha! I am "trainable"!
I use 58 gr of 7828ssc under the 160 gr Accubonds. No pressure signs, mild recoil, 2925 fps. 26" barrel.
Correction: 58 gr 7828. I use 59 gr of 4831 in the 140 gr accubond loads.

I'm using 64.5 grs of IMR7828SSC with Federal 210 Match primers.

I’ve had great luck with 150 Accubonds and RL16 in my .280 Remington mountain rifle, 2940 fps and good accuracy. H4831SC did nicely as well with a little less velocity.
