A lot depends on what is your barrel length, what twist is in the barrel, and what do you intend to use it for.

The 260 is a great cartridge, nothing more than a .308 necked down to 6.5. Remington just announced at the SHOT show that they will add the 260 to their SPS line as they finally realized what the 260 potential/sales truly is.

I'm going to try running 140 grain accubonds through my 6.5 creedmoor. seems like a lot of guys like those.

For deer and smaller, I'd look at Berger and Lapua Scenars in 130-140gr. Assuming the twist will allow them. I know the 4 pronghorn shot with my 260 and 139gr Scenars wouldn't be any deader, faster with about anything else. I was very happy with it's performance.

You're good for the bullets I mentioned. In my research, H4350 and R17 seem to be quite popular with the 260 and 130+ gr bullets. Good luck!

What make/model of scope are you planning on?

It depends on what you intend to shoot, also. The 129-130 grain is a good choice, but if elk is on the menu, then the 140 is a little bit of insurance. For long range targets etc., the longer bullets will win also.

cowboy, Rate of twist 8 and a 24" fluted barrel

That will be a great set up. With a 1-8 twist and 24" barrel I would suggest the 139 Scenar of 140 Berger. You will have a bullet with great BC and it will get you out to close to 1000 yds for practice and 3/4 of that on deer and antelope.

When I finish shooting up the 220 swift ammo I have I figure I will rebuild it as a 260 remington so this is good info.

Yep - they announced it at the SHOT show. I got my name in for one already.

I am going to try and get one too. Remington sucks at updating their website and haven't been able to find out much info other than on hunting and shooting forums.
