2026 Sheds

Had a neighbor call me Tuesday morning, wondering if it'd be interested in shed hunting some of his land. So i took him up on his offer and Sunday morning he took me to a couple of his properties. I only had a few hours to walk, before Easter dinner, but was able to pick up 3 sheds. My biggest matched set of the year and a small chewed up one. Will get out a couple more times this week after work and then I'll call it a year. Turkey session starts Monday morning, for me. 20260405_105528.jpg20260405_105618.jpg20260405_111008.jpg

Found these three nice sized sun bleached desert mule deer sheds while exploring a remote area of Mt. Charleston only about an hour drive from the Las Vegas strip, plus about 4 hours of trekking on foot.IMG_0970.jpeg

I glassed this dead bull up from the road in Jan. Had shed one antler and the other was still attached weakly to the skull. The antler popped right off with a little persuasion.
Best find of the year so far. Found quite a few whitetail antlers but the best set is under 140.
He had already shed one in January ?

Got ridiculously lucky today and found one my best ever whitetail sets, not a giant buck but probably mid 130’s to 140. First side was laying in a road under a fallencedar tree and the match was maybe 40 yards away about 5 feet off the road. I’m sure plenty of people have driven past them this spring

Anyone found sheds yet?
I've only found two small ones and still getting lots of pics of bucks carrying their antlers.

Met up with a buddy at hunting camp / cabin last weekend. He happened to get there just a few minutes ahead of me and spotted a beautiful matched set 125ish 5x5.
It was laying in the tall grass not 40' from the corner of the cabin and they were two feet apart.
Have not in Colorado
