2026 Garden

Found a green pepper! Mountain Fresh tomatoes are starting to put on. The Amish paste are very slow to start putting fruit on. The heat last few days has kick started the garden. Potatoes are getting ready to bloom. Planted Huckleberry potatoes low in starch sugars for diabetic friendly (if there is such a thing). All I do is water and wait for now.

3.5-4 inches of rain since last Thursday, definitely will help make up for the drought but also not great for tomatoes starting to turn. I'll take it though for sure. Another squash got hit with a vine borer so thats 3/4 from the first planting. Think I caught this one early enough but we will wait and see. Ordered some syringes to start injecting with BT moving forward and hope that works. Also planning to try a couple different varieties next year that are more resistant, I haven't had this much trouble with vine borers before.

Watermelons are looking good, hoping that the first one will be ready for the 4th but we'll see. Also couldn't resist some blueberry bushes at the garden supply. I had been thinking about getting some in the future but these were already loaded with blueberries and got the better of me. All the lettuce is cut now, second wave of squash is planted in the potato bed. Started pulling cherry tomatoes this week. Lot of blossom end rot on the romas so far. Probably not enough water in this drought. Cherokee purples are looking okay though and theyre what I really care about. 20260623_155751.jpg20260623_155759.jpg20260623_191631.jpg20260623_191635.jpg
