My guess is just because the sheer volume of deer tags are a lot higher than Bear & Moose, the process takes longer

We drew 4 deer tags on our land! 2 archery tags for September and 2 rifle tags for October. Couldn't be happier!!

Looks like I drew my 3rd rifle deer tag. I know it’s not what it was 20 years ago, but I’ve always wanted to hunt the Gunnison Basin. Should be fun.

Points are updated. Looks like I got my 2nd choice.

Point creep got me. I had 6 points. Last year it was 100% with 6 and 50% with 5. Oh well. I'll have to find a different unit next year if I hope to burn my points before 2028. Assume creep will be even worse next year.

Kind of weird, my wife’s points went to 0 but the cc charge hasn’t posted yet.

That was surprising. Got a 2nd season rifle tag in the landowner draw. They still haven't hit my credit card but just sent an email letting me know the draw has been completed and the results were in my account. (I forgot I just get a voucher, I have to buy the tag once I get the voucher, that's why they didn't hit my credit card).

Pretty low % chance on it the last few years. Nothing too exciting, it's a 1 or 2 point tag in the regular draw as well but will be nice to have a deer tag in the pocket during 2nd season OTC elk.

Correction. We got a 2nd rifle doe tag, (2) 3rd rifle doe tags, and an either sex archery tag. 4 for 4! Elk tomorrow!

How long before the recaps come out? I've been chasing an early rifle deer tag that I was 2 points from drawing for 5 or 6 years now.

Its not long, maybe a week if I remember correctly.
