Had one cross the road in front of me this morning. Legs were still pretty wobbly.3 of the same and we found a new one while checking the cameras
The little one was in the tall grass about 35 yards from the camera! I didn’t even check that one once we seen the fawn. We snapped a couple quick photos and gave it its space
seen a coyote standing out in the cow pasture on the way back from grabbing a few groceries.. bucked the 9 at Him twice and he bolted. Now I’m wondering if this is what was in that field where he was.
More than likely. Lot's of fawns out in taller grass fields and coyotes know it. The one I found was in a little tree island in the middle of a CRP field. Fawns started dropping the last week or two here. Have seen more daytime coyote sightings since that time than I do during February. Possibly a coincidence, kind of doubt it though.
