UNC looked slow everywhere, no separation at WR , O line can’t push people off the ball …… bad QB play ……
With Belichick at 78 you gotta really want it cause it takes a lot of time and energy and want to to turn a college football team around and to get all the right kids that are big strong and fast on campus. not rooting for him. not rooting against him, but I’m just like after what I saw last night yeah I don’t know if that old man’s gonna have the patience to deal with this rebuild. And unlike the NFL there’s three times as many teams and coaches all fighting to get to nine or 10 win seasons …. And I don’t know if this team can win six and go to a ball game.

Stay tuned !!!
Oh, to be clear, I'm not rooting for or against him either. I have nothing against Belichick - except that he happens to coach at UNC. lol

If I recall correctly, Belichick was trying to use his “process” on player evaluation and took several pretty big stretches in recruiting to fill out his class. Maybe that is why everyone looked so slow on the field

I bought this shirt for Husker games, the die hards wanna kill me. View attachment 384704
There was a Nebraska fan in the stands during that fourth quarter when it looked like Cincinnati, might win in Nebraska might piss one down their leg again and they kept going back to that fan and kept saying it over and over on the shirt funny stuff

It really seems, to me anyway, that no team has had so much hype bestowed upon it's players, one in particular...than the Horns. I surely hope Arch had a severe case of yips coz what I saw made no sense whatsoever.

Yeah after reading a few days prior to the Texas game that Jerry let Parsons go so he had room to “buy up” in the draft for Manning…seeing the results sadly makes sense for Cowboys fans 🫣

Yep, the second coming monkey got real heavy real fast marv...

I love when espn, fs1 or others say after the first game of the season, should this coach be fired and this quarterback didn't perform. I don't like Texas but them saying that Arch Manning underperformed, sure he did but he was also playing at Columbus against a pretty good team too. The expectations put on some of these players is ridiculous. I would take college over the NFL anyday but it gets worse and worse every year.

With #1 #4 and #6 all going down this weekend the quackers should slide into the top 5 , not that those top three or four spots matter as much anymore in the polls with the 12 team playoff
Settling for #6…They reined it in a bit at the end (score wise) but they played nearly the entire squad!👍🏻

Taco earned his keep against the Ducks secondary…I liked his quote after about the speed! I think about half of UOs DBs run at Hayward as well lol.

It’s the NFL, but isn’t that the Cowbabies every year? Especially if they win the opener.

What gets worse to you and why?

Both seem to be similar to how they used to be to me. Well, unless you are a college fan of a team that used to be able to get all of the best players. In that case, it's worse for you. ;)

Taco is a stud had 107 of the Cats 244 yds , he was limping at little towards the end of the 3rd , was talkin with a friend who is a big Cats fan during the game , we both felt they should have pulled the cats starters in the 3rd instead of playing them pretty much the whole game , they had some dudes banged up after that game , Taco being one was on crutches I heard.

I had made the comment earlier in this thread before the game , that I felt Oregon was Bigger , Stronger and Faster than last years team that went 13-1 , with less experience. Oregon played 12 freshmen in this game and several were true freshman, most notably WR Dakorien Moore who was the #1 WR out of High School last year had 46 yds of offense on 5 touches and pancacked a DB in the endzone after blocking him 12 yds backward on a TD pass in the 3rd qtr also hurdled a guy on a 3rd and 6 for a first down in the 3rd

The other guy is RB Jordan Davison 6’ 236lb scored 3TD

Both these kids got diplomas 3 months ago and were dominate in this game , never seen Oregon with kids like this , ain’t making no predictions yet , except this team will make the playoffs, exciting time for Oregon fans

Here’s true freshman with the block PS @noharleyyet he’s a Texas kid , thanks for sending your best up north !!! 🤣

And the hurdle play

NIL is ruining it. It's more about who spends more money on their roster than anything else. There is no loyalty with coaches or players which essentially waters down the rivalries, heritage of what makes college football great. You have players that don't want to work hard for a position and want to walk into playing time. My thing is if you go to a school where there is a stud at your position, you either work hard and compete against that guy to get better and to make the others around you better or choose to not go there in the first place. You could essentially not be happy with your playing time and go to four to five other schools during your college career with no regard for traditions, etc. I'm not that old but it used to good players wouldn't start until soph/jr year which forced those players I'm sure to work hard, buy into the system, etc and in turn they would get better. It's all about me, me which is society in general too. Who wears the coolest cleats and who has played in this all american game and who has this highlight reel on tiktok. If I were in that position I would like to think I would bust my @#$ to get better than the next guy and do what's good for the team also.

I'm a WVU fan so I've been getting my heart broken for many many years lol. My case is if I were recruited by WVU in my home state then played there, didn't like my spot on the depth chart and transfer to Pitt which would be grounds for WVU fans trying to hunt me down I'm sure. The traditions are suffering. I could list many examples, another one being the OSU and Michigan game last year. I don't like either one but I root for Michigan every year because I get tired of the I'm from "the Ohio State" bs. That's another conversation lol. The fight/scrum after the game with players trying to plant flags and all that was disrespectful even though I said I hate OSU, there's no reason to plant the UM flag at midfield. The OSU players had every right to get ticked off and defend their turf, it could have been settled on the field in those 60 minutes, not on the postgame festivities.

You're right of course; college ball will never be the same, watching kids develop and grow into starting roles, only to have someone from the portal come in and take their job away. There's likely no putting the cat back in the bag though.

Kids sure deserve something for putting their bodies at risk, but not sure it's the $6.8 million Arch got for completing 4 passes or whatever, and what about the linemen, who are just as likely to be injured, but have little NIL?
