You're right of course; college ball will never be the same, watching kids develop and grow into starting roles, only to have someone from the portal come in and take their job away. There's likely no putting the cat back in the bag though.

Kids sure deserve something for putting their bodies at risk, but not sure it's the $6.8 million Arch got for completing 4 passes or whatever, and what about the linemen, who are just as likely to be injured, but have little NIL?
Couldn't agree more!

NIL has leveled the playing field. I think that's a good thing. Every team can now get very good players, and those players get to actually get to play early instead of sitting on the bench until they are a Sr. Before, players could be waiting their time, a coach changes, and they are stuck.

Sure, the portal windows and reason/number of transfers need to be cleaned up, but overall, it's an improvement. Days are gone that the national championship was almost predetermined every year. I'd rather give 12-14 teams a chance to win it all instead of 3 or 4.

I’ve heard several predictions that don’t have the Badges winning 6 games… hang in there… crazy how a team can slide so quickly , you guys have had a lot of coaching turnover which never is good , I remember the 2020 Rose Bowl and Bilema was coaching Wisconsin Now he’s at Illinois. What was the reason he left or was he pushed out?
Three straight years of regression now. Only leading MTSU 14-10 at the half. MTSU is ranked DEAD LAST in the FBS overall. Luke Fickell, Mike Tressel, and Chris Macintosh should be kicked into the sunset. Never seen a Badgers team so bad and without fight in these last three years.

NIL put a face on the cigars that have been skewing rosters for boasting rights for decades.

Agreed. I don’t think NIL is the issue as much as the transfer portal is. The money was always there- I have two older friends that played for ND and Clemson back in the 80’s, they have stories for days.

I wish they would go back to allowing one transfer and eligibility delayed for a year. Multiple transfers with immediate eligibility is what is killing NCAA sports (along with the NCAA being dysfunctional in general.

WVU is stinking up the field also.
But we are starting all over, new coach, players....

Im expecting a good game. The ducks are going to be facing a stouter defense than the Bobcats and OSU, but they've been explosive so far this season.
With the new quarterback and some of the wide receiver stuff we had going on when the schedule come out I just assumed we were gonna lose that game

but with how Oregons been playing and how the defense played , and two more weeks with games against Northwestern and Oregon State and PSU has a soft schedule. It’s gonna be game on, but I feel like we have a chance now after feeling like no chance before the. Season

Your weaker schedule won’t battle test your starters , not that our schedule is much stronger but a conference game plus a fourth game should give the younger guys a chance to really get ready for that game in Happy Valley

The B1G is top heavy, Illinois won B1G, OSU is good and Michigan with Underwood , gonna be a street fight , Indiana is playing good also
