Finally got out and got a bird on the ground, first weekend we went we got rained out. We tried again this weekend, and had good weather. This time they were not talking at all. So we went spot and spook the hell out of them. We ended up getting one, and my buddy missing one. Then, more rain, so now we are looking forward to bears.
This is the first bird I have taken with my Dad's ol' 12, so it was cool. He has been gone since 99, just got around to using it. Glad I did.

A great way to honor your Dad. I got the last two with my Dad's old 1949 model Rem 11-48 and some heavy handloads I loaded up nearly 30 years ago.
