I don’t have too much to show for it (as far as putting meat in the freezer), but still had a great time this archery season. I was able to smack a doe but that was it.
I did succeed in educating countless antelope across the state while trying to get within archery range via spot and stalk.
Helped a friend scout and hunt for a bull in a special permit area which was a blast, I’ve never heard so many bulls...
I was able to take the MR 6500 on a quite a few walks, It has seen a fair number of SW Montana mountain ranges now.
I did almost repeat last years elk hunt, but it was just too good to be true. About a mile from where I shot last years bull, I called in a very nice bull to 12 yards... broadside... and nailed a branch with my arrow...
I am hoping I might be able to get the new backpack bloody as soon as I can use rifle.
