2003 Deer: Texas Tom's doe.

It was cold and rainy all weekend, but I sat in the blind, out of the rain, and got a whitetail doe. One weekend left for doe or spike season, then that's it here, end of another deer season.



It was dark by the time I drug her out and got the truck nearby.

I found this skull and shed looking for her. The body was so far gone on the buck, I couldn't tell if he was wounded and died or just died. The shed shows some long tines in this area too. Maybe I'll get a good buck here next year, eh.

Congratulations on you doe. That skull with its' long antlers does seem encouraging that some big boys do hang out there.
