1894 win 25 35 hunt

[oleefish2]

Got my first antelope with an 1894 Winchester made in 1898, in 25 35. about 120 yards with 110 grain bullet.

That’s awesome! I have a M94 carbine in 25-35 that will likely accompany me on my next antelope hunt.

just adopted my 100 yr. old octagon barrel 1894 in 25-35 this year and can't wait to take it on a deer / pig hunt. what a great feeling rifle!!

It was not very first antelope, just first one with this gun. My first one was with a pre 64 win in 270. My first deer was with an 1892 25 20. After 60 some years of hunting I just needed a new challenge.

Nice!. wish you best of luck next time

Nice. did you handload it? I've only seen the 25-35 in 117 gr soft points.
My dad still has the model 64 that was my great grandfathers.

I reloaded it with hornady 110 grain ftx bullets and 27 grains of Ram shot big game powder. They run on average 2310 fps out of my gun with a 24-inch barrel.
