Good Luck. When i was in college 30 years ago I ran some bears with an old Plott Breeder named Woodrow "Woody" Wilson from Bovill Idaho . He used to travel back to Michigan to hunt Bears there. He offered to give me a pup if I'd raise the litter once weaned, and I was too wrapped up in school. He told some stories about some big ol bears from there abouts.....

Headed to Northern Lower Michigan tomorrow to run bears. I drew a Red Oak tag this year and transferred it to my kid. He has been working hard all summer to save up money for tipping the Houndsman.

We have an iron sighted JM stamped Marlin 30-30 to do the dirty work. Should be a fun hunt.

There are blue tick pups that are way cuter than that plot. They were just not photogenic, it was nap time when we were there.

3 am walk up to start scrubbing roads at 4. This old man has to go to bed.

Up at 3 this morning, found 2 different sets of tracks around 5:30. We debated on which one to cut loose on. Both sets seemed to be a good bear. As soon as we hit legal light we cut them loose. To say the dogs were excited is a understatement.
