12 years old and first hound hunt.

[Addicting]

Headed to Northern Lower Michigan tomorrow to run bears. I drew a Red Oak tag this year and transferred it to my kid. He has been working hard all summer to save up money for tipping the Houndsman.

We have an iron sighted JM stamped Marlin 30-30 to do the dirty work. Should be a fun hunt.

Good luck! Hopefully the dogs will put up a big bear for him.

They took a 336lbs dressed one today.

Just tell him to rub some dirt on it and walk it off.

[Addicting]

He shanked a sock already.

[Addicting]

He went back in for the 4th quarter. Final score was 46-6 for the win. Now to feed him and get some rest to pack and drive in the morning!

It’s pretty fun. It’s amazing to watch the dogs work.

What type of hounds? Cold nosed ot more hot track? I bet if you can find a cornfield would be really good

Chasing bears behind a pack of hounds is some crazy fun! Been on many over the years.

I don’t know. I will know more tomorrow. No corn up there, lots of wild crab apples and acorns right now.

Ever have a safe storage place, to store a tag, that was so safe you can’t find it 2 months later?

Had the same experience with my step dad's old hustler magazines as a teen.

Fun time to load the Burb.
