Well, I decided to take Friday off and head out for one more try at deer (season ended Friday). We put on quite a few miles, saw a lot of elk (again), and managed to scare a buck clean into the next county without firing a shot. We hit one more area yesterday afternoon and I found a very average 4-point buck that didn't make it through the day. Had to pack him out, almost straight down. I know that sounds easy, but I almost think it's harder than going uphill when the pack weighs 130 pounds. Anyway, I'll have pictures up in a day or two.
