Im tossing the idea around of a bear hunt in Ontario in the next few years, being from MN its not to far of a drive to Ontario. Has anyone done this in the past, pros cons. Any recommendations on outfitters?
I drew a Montana tag and it doesnt look i will be able to make it opening weekend, I had a thought maybe waiting a few weeks hoping any pressure dies down. Outside of less people are there other advantages to hunting a little later in the season, do they group up more?
So with the new dates in CO this year will the 4th season hunts be right during the rut or will it be toward the tail end? Everyone seems to be talking 3rd season hunts wasnt sure if they thought they would line up better with the rut? Thoughts?
I was looking at doing a 4th season hunt next year i have my points banked where i think i should draw. There are some pretty serious fires very close to that area currently. I am curious what some of you think; will those fires really mess those areas up for next year? Its a late season hunt...
So i have enough points to draw either region B or R for mule deer, i keep flip flopping back and forth on which one to apply for. I have spent time antelope hunting in region B saw a few mule deer and saw a handful that were harvested, nothing huge but most of these guys had larger groups and...
So i am looking at pickup up my first canvas wall tent today for my future hunts, in the past i have slept in my truck or back of it on public land. Guys who have used wall tents have you ever had issue with leaving tents out having stuff stolen or having everything stolen? I will mostly be...
I hunted eastern MT last year and the numbers seemed to be better then a few years ago, i went through the area i hunted last week just a drive through for work and the number of pronhorn i saw was slim to none. Was it another hard winter on the herd? In comparison i was in Wyoming the day...
I found colorado is 10 years if you dont buy a qualifying license but didn't find anything on Wyoming. Ive got more then enough points for the unit i plan to hunt but things came up and will probably be 2 years till i can hunt it now, i dont really want to buy more points to waste.
I was lucky enough to harvest this buck last week, my first Wyoming buck. I was really amazed how few of people i saw in the unit i hunted, got back a little ways in the walk in land and the people were gone. Not sure if he is on here or not but a huge thanks to the gentleman with two kids...
There is chance i will make it to Montana 3-4 days before the rifle season opens figured if i get there early might as well try and bow hunt for a few days, my only questions can i legally have a rifle in my truck while archery hunting? I know some states say no firearms in your possession...
Might be an odd question but i have searched the WYFG and also the internet with no answer. If i shoot an antelope in Wyoming how or where do you register it, in MN you can do your deer online or certain gas stations sporting good stores etc. I can't find anything about big game registration...
Looking over OnX for my upcoming Wyoming hunt i see a lot of the BLM, State Land and Walk in land has single track roads running all over it, is the fair game to drive on (as long as you arent crossing private land)? I read one of the walk in properties has a parking lot but the rest has 2...
I am still debating on if i want to apply for an September early season hunt in CO or go with a 4th season hunt. My only concern with the late season hunt is they are very weather dependent to push them out of the higher country. For you guys who have done the later season hunts if the weather...
