It's taken a lot longer than originally planned, but we're ready to start purchasing archery gear and to start to practice in earnest.

Before doing so, please help with some questions if you are an experience archery hunter:

1) What is the most efficient way to determine draw length and weight?
2) Is determining draw length and weight different for youth vs adults?
3) For western bow hunting (elk/deer) I've been informed one must be able to shoot 60 or more yards?
4) If so, this suggests one must be a proficient shooter out to a distance quite a bit greater than 60 yards? How much greater?
5) Is this setup as good a value as it seems to be? Bear Cruzer
6) If there are other standout archery values, we'd love to hear about them!
7) Is 3D the best way to practice/prep for a hunt?

Lots of noob questions......thank you!

1. Have your local pro shop help you with that.
2. No, other than kids are constantly growing
3. Not necessary
4. Get practice and build confidence as far as you can comfortably shoot.
5. I'm sure it would be a fine bow, I would shoot as many bows at local shops as you can. My advice if your looking for a bargain is to buy a higher end bow that is a year or two old. Better value and it will probably already be setup with better components.
6. ^^^
7. It's more fun but I don't feel it's necessary and they're considerably more expensive targets.

This is all my opinion of course.
