Your script for the PERFECT hunt

I get a kick out of when Randy, or other folks talk about quarry "that didn't read the script".

If you could write a script for the perfect successful hunt, what would it be like?

What Species? What weapon? What kind of weather? How many days? What distance? Solo or with friends? An animal you "know" or one you discovered during that hunt?

A 400 inch bull would stumble and break a leg 100 yards from a county road that I had a tag in. I always wanted to be the guy in pictures with the giant bull whole in the back of the truck

Any future elk hunt with my son and son in law. Both getting their first bulls would be icing.

I always dream of shooting a monster bull a mile from the road, then he runs the mile and piles up next to my truck, under a tree that I can winch him into for cleaning and loading.

I'd like to be able to hunt along a high alpine ridgetop in 38 degrees, no breeze, sneaking and peeking over for mule deer. According to the script, I would see deer in about every third draw. I'd see 150 inch bucks everyday that had no idea I was there. But of course I would know there was a 180 inch buck somewhere.

I think it would be a 3 day hunt, and I would be successful at close range mid morning of the last day.

Kind of a cop out, but any hunt with my son. He's 6 now and I am looking forward to some great hunts with him in the future.

Huge bonus points if he seems like he enjoys it and can actually contribute to the overall success of the hunt.

3 inches of fresh snow. 25 degree temps. Idaho high country OTC mule deer with 3 good buddies. Staying in a wall tent for 3 or 4 days. We see lots of deer and end up with a couple good bucks, don't have to be 180+

Next year when my son is old enough to pull the trigger on his 243 at the first legal deer that wants a spot on the wall.....As for me....Sheep,bow 14 days every kind of weather mother nature can throw at me....sounds bout right........
